Dr Sally Blombery
Dr Sally Blombery studied Medicine at the University of Melbourne and graduated in 2004. She has worked in General Practice since 2009 and is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. She also has a Bachelor of Science (Biomed.) from Monash University.
Over the past twenty years, Sally has seen how chronic health conditions can affect both physical and emotional well-being. This inspired her passion for preventative health and helping people stay well, rather than waiting until problems arise. She’s especially focused on reducing the risk of common chronic conditions like diabetes and heart disease by supporting patients to make informed, practical choices for their long-term health. Sally takes the time to explain individual risk factors in a clear and relatable way, helping people feel motivated and confident in reaching their health goals. She places a strong emphasis on improving metabolic health, including healthy weight management, and making sure patients are up to date with important cancer screenings. Sally also has a special interest in women’s health, particularly around menopause, peri-menopause, and polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS).
Sally offers extended consultation times to allow for a comprehensive health assessment including a discussion of current health issues, relevant examination (including a skin check) and referral for appropriate pathology tests and medical imaging as required. Once all tests have been completed, Sally conducts a follow up appointment to offer advice and treatment options to optimise health and address risk factors for chronic disease.
